Growing Exponentially

This morning I was very pleased to see that 555 people were signed up on the Facebook event for Autism Acceptance Day. I just checked a few minutes ago and we are up to 575! If you can join us on Facebook, please do. Otherwise I will post reports, links, etc. here.

Welcome to Autism Acceptance Day

Hi everyone. Welcome to Autism Acceptance Day, the blog. As you can see from the previous post, we started out as a Facebook event, and have moved to other areas, like this blog, so that other people can participate.

I would like to collect and post people's writings, thoughts, links, and images here. If you want to send something in, please contact or post.

NOTE: Because I can't monitor the list constantly, I have set the list so that comments have to be moderated. I am going to try to get to this at least two or three times a day. Please keep posts to autism ACCEPTANCE, not other topics. There are a lot of really great projects, initiatives, organizations, etc. and you can post about them here. I am going to be contacting people to ask if I can re-post things they have written. The original author retains all copyright privileges! If you are not the original author, either post a link or contact the author for permission.

The only posts that will be rejected are: negative posts about autism (you can post those elsewhere, if you must), negative comments directed toward any individual, and arguments. If you do not see your comment right away, don't worry, unless it is in one of the categories I have said I won't accept. I will get to all the comments at some point during the day.

Autism Acceptance Day- The Blog

I have had some requests from non-Facebook users (yes, there are such people!) who would like to participate in Autism Acceptance Day. I am hoping this blog will be an easily accessible place for people to visit. NOTE: This intro will change in the next 24 hours! I have comments turned off right now and do not have time to post anything else, but am planning for both posts and comment access as soon as possible.... Something about a choir rehearsal tonight and I forgot to select the hymns! So, please bookmark this and check back a bit later. - Paula
